After your first round at this scenic and relaxing 7,045 yard course, you’ll understand why.
Respected architect Willard Byrd put his personal stamp on Meadowlands with distinctive parkland features that follow the lay of the land through mature woods bordered by serene meadows, pristine lakes and vast wetlands. Spacious, gently sloping fairways offer a surprising variety of elevation changes that present a multitude of challenges as they open onto large, immaculately manicured greens. Featuring a number of unforgettable holes, the course presents a fine test of golf stretching out to 7,054 yards for those who play from the tips, with 6,591 yard and 6,080 yard options for mid- to high handicappers. It plays a comfortable 5,512 yards for seniors, and measures 5,041 yards from the women’s tees. The surrounding pines, wetlands and lakes create a serene and secluded setting that is chock full of challenges for golfers of all levels.
On the front nine, you’ll find the course’s toughest hole at #3, a 480-yard, par four that gives big hitters an opportunity to show their stuff. Next on the agenda is a 484-yard, par five that gives everyone a chance to put a bird in the bag. Power and accuracy win the day at the course’s signature hole, the 189-yard, par three 8th. Nestled among pines with a lake looming between tee and green, plus a high-lipped front bunker that obscures a portion of the landing area, this is a hole that you literally don’t want to miss. To finish the trip out, the 566-yard, par five 9th sets up as a perfect firing range for your heavy artillery.
 Coming back in, number 11 takes your measure again, giving you just three shots to hole out from 206 yards. At 13, a 426 yard par four offers the second toughest challenge of the day, while the 519 yard, par five 14th and the 160 yard, par three 15th give you a few more chances to shave a stroke or two. To end the day, the 382 yard par four at 17 lets the power driver try for a chance at a short pitch to a one-putt, while the 502-yard, par five 18th gives strong finishers a fair shot at a birdie.
