Whistler is the perfect place to have, literally, the time of your life -- no exaggeration. It has been ranked in the number one spot for resorts in North America time and time again with no challengers in sight. How can there be a challenge when you offer, two breathtaking mountains, spectacular skiing and snowboarding conditions, four championship golf courses, over 200 shops and boutiques, 90 restaurants and bars, more cozy places to stay than you can imagine, scenic hiking trails galore, succulent spas and arguably the best mountain bike park on the globe -- need we say more?
Those 200+ shops can be found at Whistler Village -- aka shopper’s paradise -- where you can buy anything from novelty souvenirs and T-shirts to designer clothing and unique artwork. On the way out of the Village why not stop by one of our many spas for that perfect massage, pedicure or facial to perfect shopping day? Or you can get a spa treatment at your hotel since most have them on the premises.
If you need help getting around town just use the free Village Shuttle which takes people around the different areas of the Village. It goes to the Marketplace, which is Village North, to the Upper Village loop and then around again everyday from 8 a.m. to midnight. Need help spotting one of the buses? Don’t worry, every Village Shuttle reads “Village Shuttle” on the very front of each one, so they’re easy to spot.
One of the many to-do activities is getting out for a whole day of either guided bike tours, downhill biking or some old-fashioned fishing -- or you can do all three! The golf courses here are to die for so they’re a definite must as well. You can ride around on horseback, or use an ATV 4x4 to get around. And of course no trip is perfect without some whitewater rafting or taking a once in a lifetime tour of nearby glaciers by helicopter.
Whistler in winter is a winter wonderland thanks to the best downhill skiing and snowboarding, astounding heli-skiing trips, moonlight sleigh rides, guided backcountry tours, blazing trails on a dogsled or cross-country skiing under a canopy of stars.
